Halloween parties are the best parties of the year because it is usually the one day of the year that most of us get to wear a costume, go out trick-or-treating, collect free candy and may even get invited to a party. If you lucky enough to be having a party yourself, planning ahead will insure that your party is a big success and everyone has fun. Use these guideline and your party will be a success.

1. Decide on a Date and time:

First check with all family members to make sure it's OK to have a party. Parents consider a Halloween party instead of children going out, it's much safer. Decide when you want to have the party. Then decide on a time that you think most of your quests can attend. Decide where you will have the party, home, basement, school or rented function room.

2: Make a Guest List:

Once you have decided on the date, time and place, you will have to decide how many friends you would like to invite to the party. Sit down and make up a list of friends that you think will want to attend. Remember the number you decided on and stick with it! When choosing a date, for your party, keep in mind those things already going on in the community or elsewhere that may prevent some people from coming.

3: Invitations:

If you are going to have a party you need to tell people about it in advance so they can plan ahead. 5: Plan Party Activities:

It can be as simple as having a few friends over to watch some scary movies and eat snacks or have a large crowd with Halloween music, and your own Halloween Dance. Be sure to pre-tape your music so you won't have to stand near the music center all night. You might want to have a contest and pick out the best, worst, scariest and most unusual costumes.
