Creepy Crawly Rubber Critters

This is an easy way to give a creepy Halloween look to your home. Purchase at a party store and place them in obvious places like doorways, counters, lamp shades and other unexpected places. In low light your "uninvited guests" look quite real!

Ants:

You can buy bags of rubber ants inexpensively and spread them all over the place. Try to place them in obvious places like doorways, counters, lamp shades and even the kitchen.

Bats:

A rubber bat suspended from a string will seem to move in the air as people walk by it. Attach a string or fishing line to bats and hang from a tree porch or doorway. You wont believe the look on your quests startled faces.

Gargoyles:

There isnt anything much creepier than a set of gargoyles looking down at you. Place the gargoyles where they can be seen, but high enough to be looking down at you from a porch or roof. I purchased mine in an after Halloween sale for 50% off. They are made of rubber but look like real stone.

Mice:

Place mice where they can be seen hiding behind furniture and doors, on shelves, under tables, and especially in the kitchen. Put a mouse in a clean rat trap and place it where ever your guests will be.

Snake:

Add a few rubber snakes too, place them in obvious places like doors or near the garden lights. Fake snakes are most believable when placed outside.

Tombstones:

If you make a Halloween cemetery in your yard, add some fake rats or crows to the tops of your tombstones. Drape on a bit of fake cobweb over the stones and you have a realistic looking cemetery.

Vultures:

Are you looking for a special way to greet guests? Add an artificial Vulture to the top of your porch, tree, or any-where they can sit and stare at your visitors. You can find them at most crafts stores.
