Costume Ideas For Challenged People |
DRUMMER:
- What you need:
- Metallic wrapping paper
- Round cardboard containers, hat box, ice cream
- Drumsticks
- White poster board
- Grungy punk clothes

This was the most inexpensive, and coolest costume yet. It was a big hit
with Clay's friends and we were surprised by how many people thought
the drums were real. Grandma's hat box, an ice cream container from
a local store, and a cardboard drum from work (cut down to the size
of the base drum) made the drum set. The smaller ones were attached
to the tray by cutting slits in them at an angle and just sliding
them on each corner of the tray. This way they could be easily taken
off to get through a door. The base drum was attached to a hole already
in his tray with a cord. It could also be attached to the frame at
the sides by ties.
The drums were covered with wrapping paper and circles of white poster board were glued on the top of each.
Ripped T-shirt and jeans, press on tattoos, sun glasses and of course spiked hair colored with wash out hair spray completed the look. Finally, Clay used his switch to activate a tape of drumming music to put it all together.
