Ham Sandwich

What you need.

1- large piece of upholstery foam

1- piece of upholstery foam- pink

1- piece of upholstery foam- yellow

Aleene's Foamtastic glue

green vinyl mesh or waffle material

brown paint

1- 3/8 x18" wooden dowel

1: Cut (to size) 2 pieces of foam rectangles to look like bread slices.
2: After the slices have been cut, paint the outside (crusts) brown.
3: To make the ham slice, cut the pink foam sheet into strips and glue them on the inside of 1 of the bread slices so they extend about 6 inches on all 4 sides of the bread piece.
4: To make the cheese slice, cut the yellow foam sheet into strips and glue them on the inside of the 2nd bread slice so they extend about 6 inches on all 4 sides of the bread piece. You can make Swiss cheese by cutting small holes in it.
5: For lettuce leaves, cut rough strips of green vinyl mesh and glue the strips (leaves) to the outside of the cheese that has been attached to a bread slice.
6: To join the slices together, glue the outside left and right sides together. If you want to have arm holes measure where you will like them and be sure to not glue that area. Be sure to leave top & bottom open. Now slip the sandwich over your head and hold in place while someone marks the size opening on the top that you will need. Remove the sandwich and glue the top be sure to leave an opening for your head.
Hat: To make the pickle hat, cut 2 foam circles (green) the same size. Use scissors and cut a circle big enough for your head in one of the pieces. Glue the 2 circle pieces together and you have a hat. To make a toothpick for your hat, use a piece of crepe paper or cellophane and glue it to a wooden dowel. Finally, cut a small hole in the top of the hat for the dowel. Insert the bottom of the dowel in the hole and apply a little glue to keep it in place.
