In January of 1999 I got sick. I went to Penn State University in State College, Pa. for 3 years. I went to the Altoona Campus for 2 years and then I went to State College for 1 year.
When I was in State College I got sick with the flu and Encephalitis. I had some weird side effects. My balance was off, my memory was bad, and I shook. I can't drive or write because I shake. I went to therapy for 7 months for help. I went to Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy (for slurred speech and memory). I had a Spinal tap 2 MRI's and an EEG and many blood tests. It was a process of elimination, the doctors would say. Does anyone out there know of any doctors in PA. that specialize in Encephalitis? I'm from Altoona, PA. so any close to me would be great! I am 24 years old and have been a survivor of Encephalitis for 2 years.
